Nepal Premier League Season 3 has landed another global superstar. South Africa’s explosive left-hander David Miller is set to represent Karnali Yaks in the upcoming edition, adding serious firepower to the franchise’s batting line-up.
Nicknamed “Killer Miller” for his ability to destroy bowling attacks in the closing overs, Miller is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous finishers in world cricket. His T20 strike rate of 141.40 reflects just how quickly he can change the course of a game.
A record-breaking hitter
Miller’s power-hitting is the stuff of legend. In 2017, he smashed a century off just 35 balls in a T20 international against Bangladesh, one of the fastest hundreds in the format’s history.
His arrival gives Karnali a proven match-winner in the middle and lower order, someone capable of turning a tough chase or a slow innings around in a matter of overs.
Karnali building a strong squad
The signing comes on the same day Karnali announced Pakistan all-rounder Hussain Talat, showing the franchise’s clear intent to compete for the title this season.
With Miller in their ranks, the Yaks will be hoping to take full advantage of his experience and finishing skills when NPL Season 3 gets underway on October 26 at TU International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
