NPL 2026 Season

Season 3 squads were set through retentions in June and the auction in July 2026. According to Cricket Association of Nepal’s official 2026 calendar, the tournament runs from 26 October to 21 November 2026.

About the Nepal Premier League

The Nepal Premier League is a T20 franchise competition, organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal. Founded in 2024, the league brings together eight teams representing major cities and provinces: Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Janakpur Bolts, Karnali Yaks, Kathmandu Gorkhas, Lumbini Lions, Pokhara Avengers and Sudurpaschim Royals.

Each season follows a round-robin league stage before the top teams advance to the playoffs and final — 32 matches in total. Matches are played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, which now has floodlights for day-night fixtures.

Janakpur Bolts won the inaugural title in 2024. Lumbini Lions are the current champions, having beaten Sudurpaschim Royals by six wickets in the 2025 final. The NPL has also attracted international players alongside Nepal’s own stars, making it the biggest event on the domestic cricket calendar.
